  • I keep hearing a lot of people -- players and fans alike -- stating some confidence about the Komets' chances come the playoffs, despite them being in eighth place in the conference, because the Komets habitually are so strong toward the end of the season and in the playoffs. I agree on that, but I must wonder in the abbreviated CHL season (66 games, compared to 76 in the IHL) if the timing will throw the karma off for the Komets. I know it sounds hokey, but you have to admit it feels a little early to be contemplating playoffs.
