The Mad Ants are getting hot again, and at the right time.
Saturday's 119-110 win over Springfield before 6,659 fans at Memorial Coliseum was their fourth in five games.
It keeps them ahead of Texas, Austin and Idaho for the eighth and final D-League playoff berth.
The Ants (21-23) won't have long to bask in their glory, though, since they're taking an all-night bus trip to Iowa, where they will play the league's best team, the Energy, at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Reserve guard Ryan Wittman torched Springfield for 21 points, nine in the last quarter, to help the Ants. Darnell Lazare and Chris Kramer had 22 points each, and Rod Wilmont also had 21.
