Mad Antics

It could be worse ... really

The Mad Ants should consider themselves quite fortunate to be behind Erie 62-53 at the half tonight at Memorial Coliseum.

Thanks to a better 3 1/2 minutes to end the second quarter, the Ants got within nine points. With 3:51 to go in the half, the Ants trailed 60-42.

Erie missed its first four shots of the game, but since then, it went 24 of 40. As it is, Erie is hitting 24 of 44 in the half, and the Mad Ants are 22 of 43.

Darnell Lazare is the only Ant playing with any kind of consistency, with 16 points, including 4 of 4 from the free throw line. The rest of the team is 2 of 7 from the stripe.

Ivan Johnson has 14 points - all in the second quarter. Tasmin Mitchell has 13 points and Erik Daniels has 12.
