Big Apple Bagels has opened at 5129 Illinois Road in the Shoppes at Illinois Road. The menu includes a variety of sandwiches, such as BLT, turkey, grilled chicken, vegetarian, tuna salad, chicken Caesar, roast beef, club, Italian and ham and cheddar. Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet has opened at 5507 Coldwater Road in Coldwater Crossing, in the former Old Country Buffet. The Chinese lunch buffet is $6.55 on weekdays and $7.55 on weekends. Renovations have begun at 5925 N. Clinton St., the former Naked Clay Café. It will become the New Ground Coffee Co., owned by New Ground Community Church.
A new Subway is coming to 1518 Wells St., the former Brewers Art Supply.
IPFW dinner series whips up taste of Paris
Escape to Paris next week as part of the annual spring dinner series at IPFW.
Students in the Department of Consumer and Family Sciences plan and serve the meals, plus work on budgets, marketing and financial reporting.
Reservations should be made by Friday for Da Rosa de Paris on March 30 at the Fort Wayne Marriott, 305 E. Washington Center Road. The dinner costs $32.40.
Other themes are A Night at Mardi Gras, April 6 at Paulas On Main, 1732 W. Main St. ($35); Spring Fever, April 13 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club, 11836 Covington Road ($43.20); and A Taste of Mexico, April 20 at Holiday Inn at IPFW, 4111 Paul Shaffer Drive ($21.60).
Each events toast starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.

German dinner on tap at Ivy Tech
Sample a taste of Germany during Ivy Tech Community Colleges next Special Cuisines dinner on March 31.
The menu includes a beer, beef and cabbage turnover; German potato salad; sausage and sauerkraut soup; pork cutlets in sour cream; dumplings; and a raspberry dessert.
The meal, which is planned and prepared by students in the culinary arts program, is $20.

La Margarita offers 2-meal lunch special
La Margarita, 2713 S. Calhoun St., is offering a dine-in lunch feature on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, which runs through April 26.
Order two La Margarita lunch specials, two soft drinks and one small beans-and-cheese appetizer for $14.99, plus tax.

Several Halls restaurants are serving Captain Tonys Sanibel Platter until Easter Sunday.
