Ants by 10 at the half

The Mad Ants outscored New Mexico 35-23 in the second quarter to take a 60-50 lead at half in their D-League game Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.

Forward Marvin Phillips Jr. has 14 points and 10 rebounds at the break, and Ryan Wittman is 3 of 4 from three-point range for nine points.

The Ants are killing the Thunderbirds on the boards, 28-17, which makes up for the uncharacteristic nine turnovers.

In the battle of the brothers, Fort Wayne's Derek Raivio is outscoring brother Nik, of New Mexico, 5-2.
