So with three games remaining for the Mad Ants, including today's against New Mexico, here's where the Ants stand as far as making the playoffs:
With a 22-25 record, they're tied with Idaho, which has the same record. Both have two of three games at home.
Texas is a half-game behind with a 21-25 record, and plays today against Rio Grande Valley.
Austin is 1 1/2 games back with a 20-26 record.
In head-to-head competition, both the Ants and Idaho split the season series 1-1. That means, if both are tied at the end of the regular season, they'll have to resort to another tiebreaker.
The idea for the Ants is to win every game, to at least assure themselves of that scenario.
New Mexico, however, comes in as the second-hottest team in the league, having won four in a row.
