Purdue coach Matt Painter will meet with Missouri officials about the school's opening for men's basketball coach, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The paper cited a "source" that said Painter is not only the top candidate for the job but also is a "better than 50 percent" chance Painter will accept the offer to replace Mike Anderson. Neither Purdue nor Missouri has released an official statement, and Painter did not return a message seeking comment. Painter's total compensation package with incentives this eeason was $1.9 million, a source told The Journal Gazette. Typically, Painter would make about $1.5 million with incentives. Missouri reportedly is prepared to offer $2 million, the Post-Dispatch said.
