  • K's need a power surge
The Komets power play has shown some signs of life lately, but it still must be better if they want to defeat Reading in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, which begin Thursday.

Icing the puck

What do you think about no-touch icing? Personally, I can't stand it.

Yes, I know it makes the game safer. But we have lost one of the most exciting plays in hockey -- the race for the iced puck. We have given players a greater ability to slack off, since they don't have to worry about getting beaten out on those races. And we have made it easier for poor skaters, or slow skaters, to stick around.

It really makes games less exciting to me.

Which brings me back to safety. To remedy that, how about getting rid of the trapezoid? Remember this story on that?
