Thanks to hitting 17 of 27 from the floor in the second quarter, including 5 of 6 three-pointers, the Mad Ants have taken a 67-61 halftime lead over Sioux Falls on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.
At one stretch in the second period, the Ants hit nine straight field goal attempts to tie the game at 57-all.
Sioux Falls had gotten to within 62-61 on Keaton Grant's put-back basket with 17 seconds left in the half, but Chris Kramer drove the middle for a layup with 2.5 seconds remaining.
In a long pass attempt, Grant pushed off for an offensive foul, which gave the Ants the ball at three-quarter court. Kramer then hit a 35-footer at the buzzer to put the Ants on top by six at the break.
Kramer has 16 points, four assists and two steals. Darnell Lazare has 12 points, and Ryan Wittman has 11 off the bench.
