Notebook: Community gardening seminars set

Statement issued by the Allen County Extension office:

Individuals , neighborhood associations, and organizations interested in learning more about how to establish community gardens should attend one of several upcoming April seminars offered by Purdue Master Gardener volunteers.

Community gardens offer many benefits such as local food, well-being and solidarity within a neighborhood or organization, and a place for citizens without space to grow vegetables and flowers.

Successful community gardens are not an accident – proper planning is essential. To learn more attend one of these upcoming seminars.
