Notebook: Tree planting is in their memory

Statement issued by American Senior Communities:

Arbor Day was started in 1872 by Julius Sterling Morton. The history of Arbor Day, according to some, is to celebrate the importance of trees to human life. Heritage Park will be honoring those residents that we have lost this year with a tree planting this Arbor Day. Take time to remember those you have lost by planting a tree while helping the environment. Join us as we honor Arbor Day, our environment and those who meant so much to us.

Heritage Park is a full continuum campus on the north side of Fort Wayne. We offer skilled nursing, garden homes, assisted living apartments, long term care, hospice, respite services, Moving Forward Rehabilitation and Auguste’s Cottage memory care.
