TinCaps cut into deficit

The TinCaps scored two runs in the fourth inning and one more in the fifth to get within a run of South Bend Sunday at Parkview Field. After six innings, the Silver Hawks lead 5-4.

Jose Dore hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the fourth inning, cutting the deficit to 5-3. Donavan Tate drove in Chris Bisson with a double to left in the fifth, making it 5-4. Fort Wayne loaded the bases with one out in the inning, but reliever Dan Taylor got Wes Cunningham to pop out to short and Dore to fly out to center to end the threat.
