    Veteran assistant Bruce Stephens has been elevated as the New Haven boys basketball coach, the school announced Thursday.

Snider baseball field to be dedicated

The Snider baseball field at 2515 Long Road will be officially dedicated as the Michael W. Hawley Field at 10 a.m. April 23.

The four-year old field is being renamed after the retired athletic director. Former players and coaches are invited to attend.

Hawley, who retired two years ago, was also the school's football coach for several years, and as AD he was instrumental in getting the baseball field built.
