Matt Perez, who missed last season after suffering a knee injury in preseason camp, had the most impressive day of the running backs participating in Saturday's spring game.
Perez rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown for team Indiana. The Hoosiers beat Indiana 27-24.
IU coach Kevin Wilson said Perez has to improve his conditioning, but overall, the running back has "done well."
"He's just slow enough to make cuts when the defense runs by him, he just goes out the backdoor," Wilson joked.
