Extreme dog grooming seems like a waste

It's a tiger! It's a zebra! It's a monkey!

Wait, it's a poodle. A very weird looking poodle.

The tiger/poodle was a contender in an extreme grooming competition, which I saw featured on "Good Morning America" this morning.

Maybe it was because I was tired or I hadn't had my coffee but I failed to be impressed by the groomers' efforts. Really, you took the time to make your dog look like a monkey and turned his tail into a banana. Wow! That's right up there with solving world hunger and bringing peace on Earth. It just seems like a big waste of time and money to me.

Of course, this is me – who barely finds the time to flat iron my own hair before work. Me, the owner of a Siberian husky who whines if he has to spend more than five minutes with the Furminator and me.
