Joe McDonald plays at Botanical concert

Fort Wayne park officials on Thursday announced the Botanical Roots outdoor concert series will include Country Joe McDonald, a nationally renowned voice of the 1960s.

He will play Aug. 12 at the Botanical Conservatory as part of the six-week series that runs July 29 to Sept. 2. For each show, doors open at 7:30 p.m., opening acts begin at 8:30 p.m., and headliners play from 9:15 to about 11 p.m.

Admission is $6 per person; children age 12 and younger will be admitted free with a parent or guardian. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
