Thunderstorms, flooding in forecast

Thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon, particularly south of U.S. 30, the National Weather Service in northern Indiana said.

It said some flooding will continue today and tonight along portions of the Tiffin and Wabash rivers.

Thunderstorms are forecast Sunday night through Wednesday, and the weather service said there is a high chance of flooding next week.

The flood watch continues for the St. Joseph River above Newville, affecting Allen and DeKalb counties in Indiana and Defiance County in Ohio. Minor flooding is possible by Monday evening, the weather service said.

At 10 a.m. Friday, the river was at 10.7 feet and rising. Flood stage is 12 feet.
