TinCaps cut into deficit

Jake Blackwood hit a home run during a six-run fifth inning, and the TinCaps have pulled to within 10-7 after six innings against Lake County Wednesday at Parkview Field.

Fort Wayne batted around in the fifth, knocking Lake County starter Steven Wright out of the game before he could qualify for the victory. The Captains entered the bottom of the fifth leading 10-0.

The TinCaps scored once in the sixth. Rymer Liriano represented the tying run when he came up with runners on the corners and two outs. He struck out to end the inning.
