Foot Traffic

Samuel Hoffman - The Journal Gazette
This photo is made up of 4 images, put together for a super-wide angle view. Students at Portage Middle School shake it in "Let's Move! Flash Workout," in front of their school, Tuesday. At 1:42 p.m., middle schools across the country danced to a song recorded and choreographed by Beyonce. The event was in support of Michelle Obama's initiative to reduce childhood obesity.

Shooter's Comments: This was a lot of fun. The weather allowed Portage to move the event outside and they even provided a tall stepladder for me to shoot from. The principal also introduced me to the kids, which is always embarrassing. I tried some different angles and ideas, such as blurred motion and a pan sequence, but the dance only lasted about 4 minutes.
