Pure joy in the backyard

Denali has a new home. And he loves it.

Well, most of it.

He loves the big picture windows in the living room and dining room, from which he can stare for hours.

He hates the basement, more specifically being put in the basement as evidenced by the missing toe strip at the top of the steps and the scratched door frame.

He loves the return of the beloved rug.

He loves the flowers in the yard, or at least peeing on them.

I'm not so sure he likes Duke, the golden retriever mix next door who also pees on my flowers (from across the fence). Denali doesn't mind that he pees on the flowers, just that he likes to bark while we're out in the yard.

Oh, and how does he love that (mostly) fenced backyard. While I want to ground him for the door frame and basement landing, seeing him run pushes all those feelings away and melts my heart.
