    Mallex Smith, who was the TinCaps' center fielder for the 2013 season and the first half of 2014, was voted by fans as the top offensive player in the minor leagues during the past season.

TinCaps, Bowling Green tied after six innings

Fort Wayne's B.J. Guinn scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth to tie Tuesday's game with Bowling Green at 3.

Fort Wayne trailed 2-0, but scored twice in the fourth to tie the game. Guinn singled, moved to second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored on a single by Rymer Liriano.

With Jake Blackwood batting, Liriano stole second. He moved to third when Blackwood struck out on a pitch in the third. Catcher Luke Bailey threw to first to get Blackwood out and Liriano kept running, scoring from second on play.

The Hot Rods reclaimed the lead on the home run by Hector Guevara in the fifth inning. Guinn led off the bottom of the sixth with a walk, stole second and moved to third on a ground out. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Liriano.
