You can travel the worlds vineyards and then dance under the stars at local fundraising events this month.
PBS39, WFWA-DT, will have its 22nd annual World Wine Tasting on Friday at Courtyard by Marriott, 1150 S. Harrison St. The event, which will offer 200 international wines, will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The Fort Wayne Medical Society Alliances annual Dinner and Dancing Under the Stars will be 7 to 11 p.m. May 20 at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St. Besides the buffet catered by Club Soda, there will be a ballet performance, a DJ, live and silent auctions and an olive oil tasting from The Olive Twist.

Leo Crossing gets Mexican restaurant
Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant has opened at 10366 Leo Road, in Leo Crossing.
The menu features a variety of traditional dishes, including burritos, quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Lucky Moose marks Friday the 13th
Tempt fate at The Lucky Mooses Friday the 13th party on Friday.
The restaurant, at 622 E. Dupont Road, will offer 13-cent peel-and-eat shrimp and 13-cent (per ounce) draft beers all day.
From 3 to 6 p.m., you can enjoy Early Worm specials by ordering two featured dinners (such as fish, chicken or pasta) for $13.
Starting at 5 p.m., feast on all-you-can-eat tilapia, catfish, ribs and barbecue chicken for $13, which also includes the salad bar.

Eddie Merlot’s gives ‘Tour of Italy’
Take a Tour of Italy with a new limited-time menu at Eddie Merlots at Jefferson Pointe.
Featured entrées, which are available through July 3, are red snapper with lobster pasta, scallops and shrimp scampi with pasta, twin filets Florentine-style (with spinach and tomatoes), pork osso bucco and short ribs Bolognese.

Margy Hooker will have a cookbook signing at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Chuck and Birds, 4301 Fairfield Ave. The daily lunch menu will include some recipes from Farm to Fork the Margy Way.
The Friendly Fox, 4001 South Wayne Ave., will have a wine tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. May 26. Sample from eight to 10 wines and enjoy one glass for $30. Reservations are required; call 745-3369. The café also has some new menu items, including a Hawaiian panini ($7.50) with ham, pineapple chutney, Havarti cheese, barbecue sauce and red onion.
Two new eateries, Sam Adams Brewhouse and Seattles Best Coffee, have opened at Fort Wayne International Airport. For now, they are accessible only on the air side, for people who have gone through security. A grand opening celebration, which will include the land side, will be in June.
