Today's What Were They Thinking moment comes from Indianapolis, where I'm at the Speedway today to check out practice and listen to A.J. Foyt drop a little history on us media types.
It was, ahem, a little harder getting here this time, on account of they've chosen now to rebuild the overpass at I-465 and Crawfordsville Road. Therefore, that exit -- one of the main entry points to the Speedway during May -- is closed, and looks like it will be for awhile. You have to get off on 38th Street (where, ahem, there's also construction happening) if you're coming from the north now.
Beautiful. Can't wait for race day.
(Update: Rumor has it they'll halt construction on race weekend. We'll see).
