Salomon Farm Park will be home to a Fiber Arts Celebration Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The focus of the festival is education through hands-on participation and demonstrations of processes to make natural fiber products. There will be wool dyeing, spinning, weaving and more and vendors on-hand will offer spinning wheels, wood knitting needles, looms and shuttles, felting needles and forms, and crochet hooks. There will also be natural fibers including wool, alpaca, silk and cotton.

The festival is co-sponsored by the Flax and Fleecers Spinning Guild of Fort Wayne and the city's parks and recreation department.

No pets will be allowed. Salomon Farm Park is located at 817 W. Dupont Road. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 427-6005.
