Moore, Johnson working at NBA Draft Combine

E'Twaun Moore was headed out of his interview session with reporters on Thursday when he looked up at a TV inside the Westin's Cotillion Ballroom.

"Hey, it's JJ," Moore said, referencing Purdue teammate and friend JaJuan Johnson.

Moore and Johnson had quite a four-year journey in West Lafayette, helping spark the program's turnaround to a consistent Big Ten contender and playing in four consecutive NCAA tournaments and two Sweet 16s.

Now they're on a new journey.

Again, together.

Moore and Johnson are rooming together for the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago this week, Moore said. Besides this week, they also are both training in the city and are staying at the same apartment complex. So they see each other daily.

"It definitely is good to hear his side of the story and hear my side of the story, how things are going and kind of compare notes," Moore said. "It definitely helps each of us feel more comfortable."
