Lovilee Johnson receives a hug from Chuck Lambuth during her retirement party Tuesday. Johnson, a tireless ambassador who greeted everyone that called or walked through the front door of the Indiana State Police post in Fort Wayne, retired after 37 years of service.

Editor's Note: It is actually quite tough to get a good picture of two people hugging. Sometimes the emotion just doesn't come across on the face. If the person offering the hug is a bit too tall, you might not be able to see the recipient's face well, anyway. Cathie pulled it off and created a nice photo that captures one of the moments of joy and memories that abound at retirement parties.

The "Officially Retired" tiara is really just a bonus.
