Injury report: Fort Wayne third baseman Jake Blackwood left the game in the sixth inning with an injury to his left hand. Pericht hit a one-hop rocket to third. The ball skipped up and hit Blackwood. The TinCaps anticipate having an update on the injury today.
Odd call: Fort Wayne's Rico Noel was called out for stepping out of the batter's box while trying to bunt in the fifth inning.
"I had 13 ground ball outs and only one fly out. They were hitting the ball down, but the ground balls were finding holes and then I gave up the big hit."
