    Seventeen members of the 2009 TinCaps have broken into the major leagues, a Class A record, according to information provided by the TinCaps from Sports Reference president Sean Forman.

For starters

The TinCaps made two roster moves prior to the game. Tommy Medica (separated shoulder) and Pat McKenna (broken bone in hand) were placed on the disabled list. Infielders Connor Powers and Tyler Stubblefield were added to the roster from extended spring training. Powers is batting sixth in Friday's lineup.

Adys Portillo is starting for Fort Wayne. He is 0-6 with 8.51 ERA. Portillo had his best game of the season in his last outing on Sunday against Great Lakes. He gave up two runs in 4 2/3 innings. He left before qualifying for the win because of a cramp.
