Tecumseh leads Lakewood

Through three innings, Tecumseh leads Lakewood Park 4-0 in the Class A state title game at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.

The Braves got their first two hitters on in the first, and both scored. Pitcher Tiffany Summers had an RBI double, and Kara Snow added an RBI single.

In the third, Lakewood pitcher Carly Heibel got the first two outs. After allowing a single to Summers, Snow hit a fly ball to right. Right fielder Suzanne Grimm appeared to turn the wrong way initially, and when she recovered, the ball hit off her glove.

Summers scored, and then when Heibel cut off the throw home to try to get Snow at second, her throw was errant, and Snow motored around to score to make it 4-0.
