  • Tremblay to get called up
Nothing official yet, but the word is Francois Tremblay will be called up to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League. He had a 21-save shutout Sunday at Indianapolis in his professional debut.

The Komets were presented with the CHL's award for Ticket Sales Franchise of the Year, after they led the 18-team league with an average attendance of 7,415.

At the league meetings in Phoenix, the CHL selected the Missouri Mavericks as Franchise of the Year, while Rapid City general manager Tim Hill got Executive of the Year. Travis Huntington of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs got Broadcaster of the Year.

I still think beat writers should get a vote for the Broadcaster of the Year, since we sit next to them and hear them during games and listen to a lot of road broadcasts. Hey, it's just a thought.
