Dragons hammer TinCaps

David Vidal had two home runs and seven RBI to lead Dayton to a 14-4 victory against the TinCaps in front of 8,362 fans Thursday at Parkview Field.

The Dragons scored four runs in the first inning and five more in the second.

Fort Wayne manager Shawn Wooten was ejected by first base umpire Mike Terry after an argument before the bottom of the fourth.

TinCaps backup catcher Cole Tyrell struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.
