    Seventeen members of the 2009 TinCaps have broken into the major leagues, a Class A record, according to information provided by the TinCaps from Sports Reference president Sean Forman.

Adys Portillo is on the mound for the TinCaps in the final game of the series. Portillo is making his 11th start of the year. He is 1-6 with a 7.22 ERA. His first victory came in his last start at Parkview Field. He allowed one hit in five innings on June 3 against Kane County. In other news, pitcher Chase Marona and outfielder Oscar Garcia were added to the roster. Marona joins from San Diego’s Double A team in San Antonio. Garcia arrives from the short-season team in Eugene, Ore. Pitcher Josh Worrell was placed on the disabled list. Outfielder Rico Noel was placed on the temporary inactive list.
