Jeff Morsches of Parks and Recreation attaches a safety cable to the Fred Myers piano on the roof of the production building at the Foellinger Outdoor Theatre, where it was installed Thursday. The piano was formerly atop the Fred Myers music store on Coldwater Road until its closing. David Myers is Fred Myers' son.

Parks and Rec started early on this project so by the time I arrived at the Foellinger Theatre the piano was already on the roof. But they were still busy securing it and David Myers, son of Fred, the original owner of the piano, showed up, so everything worked out. At least it wasn't raining.
