Statement issued Wednesday:
St. Joseph Hospital officials formally announced today that John Walsh started this week as the chief operating officer at St. Joe. In addition, Tiffany Berry began as the chief financial officer on June 6.
"I am pleased to have my entire team now in place," said Eric Looper, CEO, St. Joseph Hospital. "With new energy and seasoned perspective, I believe I have a well-balanced group of leaders to help solidify a positive culture for St. Joe both internally and in the community."
For the past four years, Walsh has served as the CEO for Regency Hospital Company's Long Term Care Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Walsh was also the vice president of operations for Northlake Medical Center, based in Atlanta, Ga., from 2001 to 2006. Walsh obtained his MBA in 1999 from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., and he received his bachelor's in respiratory therapy in 1997 from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga.
Walsh is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, has served on the boards of the Sylvania Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the University of Toledo's Visitor College of Health & Human Services.
Berry has worked the last two years as the CFO for Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center located in Kennett, Mo. Berry also worked as controller for Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tenn. Prior to that role, Berry was the manager of partnership accounting for IASIS Healthcare located in Franklin, Tenn. In 2002, Berry graduated with her bachelor's in business administration from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.
