E'Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson joked about this possibility: Playing on the same NBA team after spending four years together at Purdue.
They'll at least start their professional careers together.
After Johnson was drafted in the first round by the Nets, he was traded to the Celtics. Moore was picked by the Celtics with pick No. 55 in the second round.
Being a first-round pick lands Johnson a guaranteed contract. Moore will have to prove himself and land a contract with his performance in camp.
But ESPN analyst Jay Bilas, for one, thinks Moore can make it.
"He's one of those guys you don't think he's going to fail," Bilas said during the draft telecast. "He's going to help you win."
It's the first time since 1988 that two Purdue players were drafted in the same year (Everette Stephens, Todd Mitchell).
