Keys to the game

Alex Monsalve hit a two-run home run as part of a four-run 13th inning and Lake County held on to defeat Fort Wayne 12-8 on Sunday.

The TinCaps squandered a 6-1 lead to fall to 0-3 in the second half. Fort Wayne made a season-high five errors.

Here are the highlights.

Key at-bat: Jesus Aguilar worked the count full and then hit a game-tying two-run home run off of closer Adam Dominick in the ninth inning.

Key out: The TinCaps scored four runs in the second inning. But the team left the bases loaded when Kyle Blair got Wes Cunningham to fly out to center field to end the inning. Fort Wayne left 14 runners on base.

"That's part of the process for them to learn how to win. We put ourselves in position to win the game. One big hit here, one big hit there late in the game, this game wouldn't have gone as far. Or if we catch a couple of balls."

- TinCaps manager Shawn Wooten
