I stumbled across the website for Creative Fish Gallery in Syracuse late Monday (after the boyfriend sent along a link to an event sponsored by the gallery this weekend).
Turns out, this gallery sponsors what is called "ART BLAST" on July 2 (Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is an opportunity for artists to display their works for sale, at no cost for a 10-foot by 10-foot booth.
There are other arts-related events in Syracuse this summer and I'll probably check some of them out. For now, I'm not sure whether it's too late to get in on being an exhibitor this weekend, but here's the link.
Local bead store update
A week or so ago, we told you that BeadSource had announced she was closing up shop and is having a 50-percent off sale through July 31.
Well, Julie sent out an e-mail to her customers this week saying she's been inspired by her customers' reaction to her predicament and she may not do away with the bricks and mortar store after all.
So, stay tuned to the goings on with BeadSource. In the meantime, she will continue her 50-percent off sale through July 31.
