It won't be much of a stretch to see an outfield of all area baseball players at the North-South game July 9-10 at Parkview Field.
Of the four outfielders selected Thursday to the North squad, three of them are from northeast Indiana.
Jeremy Shelmadine from two-time defending Class 4A state champion Carroll will play one of the three outfield spots, along with Concordia's Jake Hayden and Norwell's Landon Curry.
Only five players from this part of the state were selected, and three play in the outfield.
The other two could make up a battery combination July 9-10 with pitcher Brandon Pease from New Haven and catcher Andrew Suciu.
Carroll's Dave Ginder will serve as an assistant coach on the North squad.
