Allen County SPCA

SPCA seeks donations to treat Sadie

Statement issued Wednesday. The goal is $500:

Today, the Allen County SPCA launched its first Facebook FundRazr campaign to benefit one of the animals in their care. Sadie is a Cocker Spaniel with a tough history. Coming to the Allen County SPCA in May of 2010, she has been battling a skin condition that has left her nearly hairless. Although one local veterinarian suggested that the Allen County SPCA euthanize her, that was not an option. We knew Sadie was worth helping and would become a great pet for someone once she was better.

Recently the Allen County SPCA took her to Dr. Rossur at the Michigan State University Small Animal Hospital. He has an aggressive action plan for her and she is on the mend. Our call to action on Facebook is to help with Sadie’s on-going care. The Allen County SPCA relies solely on the generosity of our community receive no government funding of any kind nor any monies from the national organization, the American SPCA. Please visit our Facebook page and see how our friends are starting to help pitch in to help Sadie.
