More Mexican, pizza, subs coming to city

Catering to a variety of tastes, another round of restaurants will be opening in the city.

•Anjos Restaurant and Cancun Mexican Grill will open at 110 W. Columbia St.

One side will be a daily restaurant, the other side is a nightclub that’s open Friday nights through Sunday nights.

•Bengino’s Pizza will open two more locations. One will be at 5825 Maplecrest Road in the former Marco’s Pizza and the other will be at 511 E. Dupont Road in the former Hungry Howie’s Pizza.

•A Penn Station East Coast Subs will be built on the corner of North Clinton Street and Coliseum Boulevard.

Coffee Cabin serves daily brews, baked goods

Tucked away behind the H. Souder & Sons General Store, the Coffee Cabin has opened at 13531 Main St. in Grabill. (It’s not visible from the street.)

Its menu includes a dozen blends of coffee, which are roasted in the general store, plus tea, hot chocolate and Amish baked goods.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays.

There are plans to add a deli menu and live music nights.

The cabin, which is more than 100 years old, still has some of the original planking and beams. An upstairs room is available for private parties and meetings.

DeBrand offers tours during 3RF

DeBrand Chocolatier will offer tours of its store at 10105 Auburn Park Drive during the Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival.

The tours are available Friday through July 16.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Tours are $5, which includes $5 off a purchase of $10 or more.

No reservations necessary; no minimum group numbers required.

Burger joint opens in Huntington

Serving as a fast-food restaurant and job-training site, Malta Burgers has opened at 201 S. Jefferson St. in Huntington.

It is operated by the Malta House, a non-denominational men’s shelter.

The menu features beef, bison and vegetarian burgers, turkey legs and fries (plain and chili).

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays. It is closed Sundays.

•During July, B. Antonio’s Pizza will offer a “summer barbecue” pizza with chicken, tomatoes, green peppers, onions and a mesquite rub. The other special is two 12-inch one-topping pizzas for $20. To order, call 485-2400 (Chapel Ridge) or 490-9222 (Lima Marketplace).

•The Fresh Market in Covington Plaza will have a cooking demo from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, featuring tropical grilled shrimp, curry yogurt sauce and a fennel, feta and lemon salad.

•Famous Fish of Stroh, 6736 E. State Blvd., has new summer hours: 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sundays to Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
