James Darnell homered during a two-run eighth inning to lift Tucson to a 5-3 victory against Las Vegas in front of 5,011 fans Friday at Parkview Field.

Key at-bat: Darnell began the bottom of the eighth with a line drive home run to left field off of reliever Daniel Farquhar to give Tucson a 4-3 lead. It was Darnell's fourth homer in six games with Tucson.

Key out: Wade LeBlanc struck out Jayson Nix with the go-ahead run on second to end the eighth inning. LeBlanc gave up three runs on four hits in eight innings for the victory.
