As hundreds of cyclists poured through the Summit City, there was hope that the event would not only bring some exercise and entertainment to the participants but hopefully a changed view of the community in general.The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has declared Wednesday an Ozone Action Day, which means the ground-level ozone will be high and can be unhealthy for people with breathing problems.
Citilink, the Fort Wayne public bus system, has received a grant that allows for free fares on designated ozone days.
The announcement said bicycles racks are available for those who wish to ride the bus for at least part of a trip.
