Brandon Decker picked up an RBI with a sacrifice to center in the fourth inning, giving the Kernels a 2-0 lead. Rolando Gomez had an RBI sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, extending the lead to 4-1.
Key out: Connor Powers popped out to second base to end the first inning. Fort Wayne had runners on first and second with no outs in the inning. Jang retired the next three batters on a strikeout and two pop outs.
