This week, I chat with Jeny Staiman, the genius behind some really cool bind offs and her latest triumph, Double Heelix, a really, really cool sock pattern. Also, I dip into my girlhood nostalgia and knit a fortune teller.
Fortune Teller (or Cootie Catcher, or whatever you called it)
When I was a girl, we used to fold up pieces of notebook paper into these little things. Here's a more fancy version. Sometimes we used them to add an extra layer to MASH (I found an online version, in case you care to relive it). Sometimes we just had them stand alone. Anyway, a few weeks ago I had a "what if" thought and decided to try knitting one.
