IU women's basketball coach receives extension

Indiana women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack has agreed to a two-year contract extension, the school announced Tuesday. Legette-Jack's previous contract would have concluded after the 2012-13 season. Her new contract is for two additional years through the 2014-15 season. She has an 81-76 record in five years at Indiana. "I couldn't be more pleased that Felisha has agreed to this new contract with its extended terms," IU athletic director Fred Glass said in a statement. "I have a high degree of confidence in her ability to succeed here, and I believe that this will simply be the first of many extensions we sign together."

Legette-Jack will receive a $5,000 increase each year in base salary (not released) and $5,000 in marketing income each year, the same rate as in the previous agreement, according to the news release.

"I've been blessed with the opportunity to be the head women's basketball coach at Indiana University for five years now, and I'm excited to be able to continue that journey leading this program," Legette-Jack said in a statement. "Hoosier Nation has embraced my family, and I can't wait to keep building this program with student-athletes that represent Indiana with great character, who are excellent academically and bring excitement to the basketball court to create a winning tradition."
