Verbatim: Vandals break windshields on moving semi-tractor trailor rigs

Written statement released Thursday morning by the Williams County Sheriff's Office.

On July 27, 2011 at 11:09 p.m., the Williams County Sheriff's Offfice was called to investigate a vandalism that had been caused to three semi-tractor trailor rigs while traveling on US-20 in Northwest Township.

At approximatley 11:00 p.m. three semi's were traveling west in the area of CR-6, when unknown subjects hurled 4 inch diameter rocks at them. One truck sustained minor damage, while the other two lost their windshieds and one side window.

Damage is estimated at $2,300.00.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Williams County Sheriff's Office.
