Former Purdue star heads to Italy

Purdue graduate E’Twaun Moore signed a one-year contract to play with Benetton Treviso in Italy.

Moore will make $200,000 if he stays for the entire season, according to published reports. But the key to the deal was that Moore, a second-round pick of the Boston Celtics, has an escape clause.

If the NBA lockout ends, Moore will be able to come back to the United States to try to make the Celtics’ roster.
