Allen County tightens tattoo rules

FORT WAYNE -- Allen County commissioners on Friday unanimously approved new regulations for the local tattoo and body piercing industry.

The rule, which takes effect Nov. 1, would require facilities to obtain permits from the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health at a cost of $295.

In addition to the permitting fee, the ordinance also bans any type of body modification.
