Judy Gerardot and other East Allen County bus drivers listen to instructions before an accident scenario in which Gerardot participated as a "victim." The group was evacuated from the bus and later talked about the scenario they went through and had a chance to ask questions of firefighters that were helping with the training. The emergency situation training was held at New Haven High School.

Editor's Note: In this photo, Laura is using a visual technique that photographers call "layering." It means that you try to have good information in all of the layers of the image: the foreground, the middle ground and the background.

It's a great technique when you can pull it off and Laura has done a great job here. The foreground even includes leading lines that draw the eye through the picture. Very nice work.
