Some thoughts on the Brawl By The Bay

Here, in no order of importance, is what comes to mind while reading accounts of all that Homo Sapiens Gone Wild stuff at the 49ers-Raiders' preseason game:

1. You know how they filmed "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" in San Francisco? Apparently it wasn't just a good story. Apparently apes really are smarter (or at least more civilized) than humans.

2. Two people ended up getting shot in all the festivities. Do you need any further argument as to why it's insane to allow people to carry firearms into Colts games (as good old Indiana wanted to do, prompting a vigorous and completely correct "no freakin' way" from Colts owner Jim Irsay)?

3. Brawling at a preseason game? Really, gentlemen?

4. And people say South American soccer fans are crazy.
